The Ozarks aren’t flat, and your fence shouldn’t pretend they are. Many fence companies install pre-made panels, which leave gaps under the fence on slopes or create choppy, stair-stepped lines across rolling yards. We do it differently.
Ozark Fence builds custom fences on-site, one post and picket at a time. This stick-built method lets the fence follow the natural shape of your property, so it rises and falls with the ground instead of fighting it. The result is a cleaner look, a tighter fit to the ground, and fewer gaps where pets can slip out or critters can get in.
If your yard has been called “tricky” by other fence companies, that’s the kind of project we like. Check out our work portfolio, and get an instant quote for your fence today.
Fencing in Christian County means planning for slopes. Subdivisions in the north end bring HOA rules and tight lot lines, while wooded acreage in the south comes with steep grades and limestone just below the surface. We install five materials here, Eastern red cedar, black aluminum, black ornamental iron, chain link, and FenceTrac, to handle both.
Cedar privacy fences are the most common request in town, long chain link runs and 3-rail split rail fences suit acreage, and homes with a view lean toward aluminum or iron. Our estimators visit each property to match the material to the ground and the goal.
Browse All Fence Styles »Cedar privacy fences are among the most common projects in Christian County's newer subdivisions, especially in Nixa and Ozark, where HOA guidelines often shape the final design. On the rural south end of the county, cedar shows up as 3-rail split rail and round rail fencing along drives and road frontage. We build with Eastern red cedar harvested from Southern Missouri, the Ozarks, and Northern Arkansas.
Steep yards and shallow limestone are common here, so every wood fence is stick-built on-site on steel posts set in concrete. That lets us contour or rack the fence to the grade instead of forcing prefab panels onto uneven ground. Pre-stained boards are available.
Browse Wood Fence Styles »Black aluminum is a popular choice for Christian County homes with a view worth keeping, from hillside lots near the Finley River to newer homes in Nixa and Ozark. It defines the yard and adds security while leaving sightlines open, and it won't rust.
We install black powder-coated aluminum in 4-, 5-, and 6-foot heights with posts set in concrete to handle rocky soil and freeze-thaw cycles. Styles range from flat tops to spear tops, puppy pickets, and decorative rings. Every aluminum fence carries our lifetime workmanship warranty and the manufacturer's warranty, and it needs little more than an occasional rinse.
Browse Aluminum Fence Styles »Ornamental iron is the strongest decorative fence we install, and in Christian County it suits homes overlooking the hills, gated entries on acreage near Sparta and Highlandville, and properties in Ozark and Nixa that want security with a classic look. Its black finish adds presence without closing off the view.
We install black ornamental iron in 4-, 5-, and 6-foot heights, with posts set in concrete to handle the shallow limestone and freeze-thaw cycles common in the county. Choose from flat top, spear top, double picket, and decorative ring styles. Every iron fence is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty and the manufacturer's warranty.
Browse Iron Fence Styles »In Christian County, chain link handles the long runs on rural land in the southern half of the county, from acreage near Sparta to properties around Highlandville, where covering distance at a reasonable cost matters. It also works for dog runs and gardens in Nixa and Ozark, and for businesses that need security fencing.
We install US-made chain link made from cold-formed steel with a rust-resistant coating, in standard galvanized, black-coated, and green-coated finishes. Privacy slats are optional, and commercial jobs can add barbed or razor wire. Commercial chain link is one of our core specialties, and every fence carries our lifetime workmanship warranty.
Browse Chain Link Fence Styles »FenceTrac is a strong match for the newer homes spreading across north Christian County, where owners in Nixa and Ozark want a fence with a modern, custom look. The system pairs powder-coated rails in black, bronze, or white with infill like red cedar, corrugated metal, bamboo, welded wire, metal screen, or wood rails.
Infill can run horizontally or vertically for full privacy, semi-privacy, or an open design. It works for backyard screening, patios, and outdoor living areas, as well as commercial properties that want something more distinctive than standard fencing. Our estimators help plan the layout and details on-site.

We met Joe at the Spring and Garden show and requested a quote to replace a 15 foot gate with new double gate along with replacing fencing with the new gate. He was prompt to visit our home and with a quote. Very reasonable as I had contacted a handyman and two other fence companies. One company had me measure the fence and then gave me an outlandish quote on the foot without ever seeing the property. His crew did an excellent job. It looks fantastic and functions great, we are very pleased. Great service and great product!![]()

Ozark Fence Company has been building fences across Springfield and Southwest Missouri since 1955. Three generations later, we’re still family-owned and locally operated. We’ve grown into one of the largest fence contractors in Missouri, and we still handle every job like our name is on it, because it is.
We install fences for homeowners, businesses and public properties. Choose from wood, aluminum, ornamental iron, FenceTrac or chain link, then customize it with the height, style, gates and add-ons that fit your property. Need privacy for the backyard? Security around a warehouse? A decorative finish for the front of the house? Our team will help you pick the right material and configuration for how you’ll actually use the fence.
Installation is simple on your end. Pick an install date that works for you, and our licensed, insured crew arrives with everything needed to finish the job. We build with quality materials, including locally sourced red cedar and US-made chain link, and we install them with time-tested methods so your fence holds up for years.
Ozark Fence Company installs wood fences in Eastern red cedar, Western red cedar, and pressure-treated pine, in privacy, board-on-board, shadowbox, horizontal, picket, and 3-rail styles. We also install composite, aluminum, ornamental iron, chain link, and FenceTrac fencing in Springfield, plus security, perimeter, temporary, and warehouse fencing, dumpster enclosures, and bollards for businesses.
It depends on where your property sits. Inside a city’s limits, that city’s fence rules apply. In unincorporated parts of Springfield, check with the Christian County Planning & Zoning Department. Ozark Fence Company can help you confirm which requirements apply before work begins.
We build the average residential fence in Springfield within one work week, typically starting on a Monday or Tuesday and finishing by Friday afternoon. Installation usually begins four to six weeks after contract signing, depending on the time of year, project size, and weather. Spring through fall is our busiest season, so it pays to plan ahead.
Yes. Springfield‘s rolling hill-country terrain means many properties have sloped yards or uneven ground. Ozark Fence Company stick-builds fences on-site so they follow the natural grade while staying secure and attractive.
Metal fences like aluminum and chain link require the least maintenance, and composite is a low-maintenance option when you want full privacy. Wood fences should be stained and sealed to protect them from Springfield‘s humid summers and freeze-thaw winters, and we offer pre-stained wood options to give your fence a head start.
Yes. Every fence we install in Springfield is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty, and on wood fences that includes gate operation. Aluminum, ornamental iron, and composite fences also carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
Fence cost depends on the material, height, length, gates, and site conditions. Use our online quote tool to get a free estimate 24/7, or schedule a visit with one of our estimators, who will meet you on-site to recommend the best fence for your goals.
