The Ozarks aren’t flat, and your fence shouldn’t pretend they are. Many fence companies install pre-made panels, which leave gaps under the fence on slopes or create choppy, stair-stepped lines across rolling yards. We do it differently.
Ozark Fence builds custom fences on-site, one post and picket at a time. This stick-built method lets the fence follow the natural shape of your property, so it rises and falls with the ground instead of fighting it. The result is a cleaner look, a tighter fit to the ground, and fewer gaps where pets can slip out or critters can get in.
If your yard has been called “tricky” by other fence companies, that’s the kind of project we like. Check out our work portfolio, and get an instant quote for your fence today.
Lawrence County covers a lot of ground, from Mount Vernon, Aurora, and Marionville to the pasture and homesteads spread between them. Ozark Fence Company installs cedar wood, black aluminum, black ornamental iron, US-made chain link, and FenceTrac across the county, so in-town homeowners, rural owners, and businesses can each get the fence that fits their property.
Homes in town usually call for privacy, pet containment, or a decorative front fence. Out in the country, owners need fencing that covers distance and asks little upkeep, and businesses rely on us for security and perimeter chain link. Our estimators help you weigh the options before anything goes in the ground.
Browse All Fence Styles »Cedar fencing works across Lawrence County, from privacy fences on in-town lots in Mount Vernon, Aurora, and Marionville to rail fences framing homesteads and drives. We use Eastern red cedar harvested in Southern Missouri, the Ozarks, and Northern Arkansas, wood whose natural oils help it resist insects and decay.
Each fence is stick-built on-site on steel posts set in concrete, which suits the rocky soil and rolling ground found throughout the county. We can contour or rack the fence to follow the grade, and pre-stained options are available to give the cedar a head start against the weather.
Browse Wood Fence Styles »Black aluminum suits Lawrence County homeowners who want a decorative fence that won't rust and needs very little upkeep. It's a popular pick for front yards and corner lots in Mount Vernon, Aurora, and Marionville, and it can also enclose the yard around a farmhouse while leaving the surrounding land open to view.
We install black powder-coated aluminum at 4, 5, and 6 feet with posts set in concrete, a solid footing for the county's rocky soil. Choose flat tops, spears, puppy pickets, or decorative rings, all backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty and the manufacturer's warranty.
Browse Aluminum Fence Styles »Ornamental iron is the strongest decorative fence we install, and Lawrence County owners choose it when security and appearance both matter. It suits stately homes in Mount Vernon, Aurora, and Marionville, gated entries on rural property, and commercial frontage across the county. Its weight and strength make it a lasting statement at the front of a property.
We install black ornamental iron at 4, 5, and 6 feet, with posts set in concrete for the rocky, rolling ground common here. Choose flat top, spear, double picket, or decorative ring designs, all covered by our lifetime workmanship warranty and the manufacturer's warranty.
Browse Iron Fence Styles »Chain link does a lot of the work across Lawrence County, covering long runs on pasture and homesteads, enclosing dog runs and shops, and securing commercial properties. Galvanized chain link is one of the most cost-effective ways to cover distance, and it asks very little maintenance in return.
We install US-made chain link built from cold-formed steel with a rust-resistant coating, in standard galvanized, black-coated, or green-coated finishes. Privacy slats are optional, and commercial fences can be topped with barbed or razor wire. Posts are set in concrete for rocky soil, and every fence carries our lifetime workmanship warranty.
Browse Chain Link Fence Styles »FenceTrac gives Lawrence County owners a custom fence with modern lines. Powder-coated rails in black, bronze, or white pair with your choice of infill: red cedar, corrugated metal, bamboo, welded wire, metal screen, or wood rails.
Infill can run horizontally or vertically for full privacy, semi-privacy, or an open layout. It suits newer homes in Mount Vernon, Aurora, and Marionville, patio screening on rural properties, and businesses that want a fence with more character than the standard options. Corrugated metal and cedar infill pair especially well with a farmhouse or shop setting.

We met Joe at the Spring and Garden show and requested a quote to replace a 15 foot gate with new double gate along with replacing fencing with the new gate. He was prompt to visit our home and with a quote. Very reasonable as I had contacted a handyman and two other fence companies. One company had me measure the fence and then gave me an outlandish quote on the foot without ever seeing the property. His crew did an excellent job. It looks fantastic and functions great, we are very pleased. Great service and great product!![]()

Ozark Fence Company has been building fences across Springfield and Southwest Missouri since 1955. Three generations later, we’re still family-owned and locally operated. We’ve grown into one of the largest fence contractors in Missouri, and we still handle every job like our name is on it, because it is.
We install fences for homeowners, businesses and public properties. Choose from wood, aluminum, ornamental iron, FenceTrac or chain link, then customize it with the height, style, gates and add-ons that fit your property. Need privacy for the backyard? Security around a warehouse? A decorative finish for the front of the house? Our team will help you pick the right material and configuration for how you’ll actually use the fence.
Installation is simple on your end. Pick an install date that works for you, and our licensed, insured crew arrives with everything needed to finish the job. We build with quality materials, including locally sourced red cedar and US-made chain link, and we install them with time-tested methods so your fence holds up for years.
Ozark Fence Company installs wood fences in Eastern red cedar, Western red cedar, and pressure-treated pine, in privacy, board-on-board, shadowbox, horizontal, picket, and 3-rail styles. We also install composite, aluminum, ornamental iron, chain link, and FenceTrac fencing in Springfield, plus security, perimeter, temporary, and warehouse fencing, dumpster enclosures, and bollards for businesses.
It depends on where your property sits. Inside a city’s limits, that city’s fence rules apply. In unincorporated parts of Springfield, check with the Lawrence County Commission Office. Ozark Fence Company can help you confirm which requirements apply before work begins.
We build the average residential fence in Springfield within one work week, typically starting on a Monday or Tuesday and finishing by Friday afternoon. Installation usually begins four to six weeks after contract signing, depending on the time of year, project size, and weather. Spring through fall is our busiest season, so it pays to plan ahead.
For acreage and homesteads in Springfield, Ozark Fence Company often recommends galvanized or coated chain link for long, durable runs, or 3-rail split rail, round rail, or plank rail fencing along drives and property fronts. Cedar privacy, composite, or aluminum fencing works well around the house and yard.
Metal fences like aluminum and chain link require the least maintenance, and composite is a low-maintenance option when you want full privacy. Wood fences should be stained and sealed to protect them from Springfield‘s humid summers and freeze-thaw winters, and we offer pre-stained wood options to give your fence a head start.
Yes. Every fence we install in Springfield is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty, and on wood fences that includes gate operation. Aluminum, ornamental iron, and composite fences also carry the manufacturer’s warranty.
Fence cost depends on the material, height, length, gates, and site conditions. Use our online quote tool to get a free estimate 24/7, or schedule a visit with one of our estimators, who will meet you on-site to recommend the best fence for your goals. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards, and financing is available.
